Soulful singer Jade Tamara originally hails from Manchester, transcending 90’s hip hop and soul with lyrics that are personal and represent today's societal issues.
Early on in life, Jade was introduced to the Miseducation Album (Lauryn Hill) that enlightened her to the female hip hop movement. Realising that it was possible to create inspiring works of art, she was soon harmonising in a girl group on the playground and writing raps in private.
Jade Tamara grew up in a household that provided her with an education in neo-soul and 90’s Dancehall. Intrigued with the neo-soul wave and hip hop Jade also regularly tunes in to Alabama Shakes and the Arctic Monkeys, the resulting sound crosses genres and blends various elements.
